I have refurbished and refinished several kits including this vintage1968 Ludwig set. It was refurbished from the shells up with new wraps over the wood shells. My collection of vintage catalogs and now the availability of internet sites aided in identifying the necessary authentic hardware and stands. My collection also includes a refurbished 1959 Ludwig blue sparkle custom kit.

It is important to note that my sets are all intended to be played, so the collectable value is questionable. But, I take great pains to keep them as authentic as possible.
